What Is a vCIO?

The strategic layer most businesses are missing.

A virtual CIO (vCIO) provides the IT leadership function — strategy, planning, budgeting, and governance — without the cost of a full-time executive hire. Most small businesses run IT reactively because no one is doing this job.

At NextPoint, vCIO services are delivered by Matt Hermsen — a former IT Director who has done this work inside real organizations at scale. You get the same thinking applied to your business.

Technology Roadmap
A 12–24 month view of what needs to change, when, and why — aligned to your business goals, not just IT best practices.
Budget Planning
Forecast your IT spend accurately. Know what's coming before it surprises you. Make the case to leadership with data.
Vendor Management
We handle vendor relationships, renewals, and negotiations so you're not overpaying for tools you don't need.
Quarterly Business Reviews
A structured meeting every quarter to review what's been done, what's coming, and how technology is serving your business.
